Kwik Sew 3830 Skirt Pattern

October 19, 2013

I finished my first sewing project in ages the other day. It felt so good to sit down and sew something, especially something that actually fits!

The pattern was Kwik Sew 3830 – a skirt with pleats in the front, curved pockets and an elasticised waistband to give a slightly gathered look. The pattern was easy to sew and came together really quickly. In total it took me two nights to trace the pattern (I don’t cut the master patterns, always trace them onto tracing paper), cut the pattern & fabric out and sew it all together. I used fabric I already had, so I only had to buy matching thread and the elastic for the waistband, so a very cost effective sewing project.

It would be a great sewing project for someone new to sewing or someone wanting a quick and easy project.  Now to think of what to sew next . . .
